too long

Well-  It's been so long since I have posted that I actually forgot where my own blog site was.  Please forgive me.  The last month has been completely insane.  We moved our home, my twins had their fifth birthday ( big party), started a new school etc.  I have been busy making cakes, cupcakes, etc.  The finale was a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner, then, bed for two days.  Wow, worn out.
I will have more shirts posted and available for sale on Etsy.com ASAP!

well...

My mind is so all over the place.  My life is so busy with the children that I'm always multi-tasking.  My thoughts fly high above me while driving down the freeway, while being safe of course.   I have visions of what the future.  The boys as adults or young men, the paths they will choose.  Visions of what awaits me, after they have left my nest of safety.  Shall I travel?  How will I evolve?  The transition from a married couple to "married with children" was a difficult one, what will the transition back to just the two of us be like?  I have many years to think about that.  For now, a 5th birthday party for twin boys, stares me in the face, recovering from the recent move and telling the world about OriginalGreenTees.
Walk peacefully,

Decisions

Have you ever counted the amount of decisions that you make a day?  Even the smallest ones such as; what's for lunch or should I turn left at the next light.  Small decisions can effect your life even as much as the big ones can.  If you decide to eat a donut one too many times you'll gain weight.  Small decisions, daily habits.  I never really thought much about the small details until I became a mother of twins.  Even the smallest variances could affect my day.  If I didn't pre-pack the diaper bag sure enough I would forget something.
Today, I've decided to be calm. :)

Golf clothes-ugh.

I have a new love- Golf.  I only just recently learned the game but have quickly become obsessed with clubs, golf bags and, of course,  the clothes.  Women's golf clothes are nothing short of awful.  And ridiculously expense.  I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why someone hasn't come up with a line of ladies golf togs that don't make you gag upon sight.  I guess I'll have to make my own stuff and tee shirts.
Happy golfing,
Teri

Monday- What's on your list of things to do?

I love Mondays.  I just may be the only person on the planet that feels that way about Mondays.  Its not an evil day of the week.  I look at Mondays as the first opportunity of the week to get things done.  Start a diet, a new work-out, that work project.  Mondays are a day for new beginnings.  You should have rested enough yesterday to be motivated for the rest of the week.
What are the projects that you have been putting off?  Maybe today is the day to start.
Happy Monday, World.

Sunday AKA quiet your mind day

When I was young, Sunday was a busy day.  Church for half the day, then, lunch out with family, home for a bit then some kind of prep chores for the coming week.  Now, Sundays are truly a day of rest.  Quiet mornings, TV with the boys, maybe brunch and nap time.
My thoughts are often of nature, reflection on the purposes of life and conversations about such with two four year olds.
The sewing machine sits quietly waiting for me to ask it to work again, but, not today.
Happy Rest day,
Teri

Happy Saturday

A good portion of the country is feeling the crisp autumn air but here is California, wearing a tank top, we only know the season by the merchendise in the stores.  It's nearly Halloween.  Jack O' Lanterns, scarey cats, and cheap costumes abound.  This holiday is a family favorite.  We all enjoy dressing up.  My sewing machine is quiet today, a well deserved rest for it and myself.  The boys costumes hang in the closet, driving them into an excitement titter at even the quickest glance.  "Mom, I want my Indiana whip."  "NO"  for the tenth time today.  Being the grown-up isn't nearly as fun.
Etsy.com is the home for my sewing projects.  The very first fruits of my labor of love were paid to me yesterday.  Facebook has been a big help.  I think I have a fun product, just need to get the exposure.
